Artist Bio

Megan Spillars is a Raleigh, North Carolina-based oil painter whose impressionistic works capture the serene beauty of nature and the quiet moments of everyday life. Drawing inspiration from the changing skies, blooming florals, and the innocence of childhood, Megan's paintings invite viewers to pause and find peace.

Her artistic journey, rooted in a childhood dream, has evolved through years of study and experimentation. Megan's style blends impressionistic brushwork with layers of texture and light, influenced by the works of Mary Cassatt, Renoir, Monet, and Singer Sargent. She also grew up admiring the paintings of her aunt who was an artist and textile designer.

Beyond her studio practice, Megan is passionate about sharing her love for art through teaching workshops and mentoring other creatives. She also hosts a podcast/newsletter called The Human Side of AI, exploring the intersection of creativity, technology, and work.

Living in Raleigh with her husband and three children, Megan finds daily inspiration in the simple, ordinary moments that life offers. Her goal is not just to create beautiful artwork but to offer pieces that become meaningful parts of everyday life, bringing a sense of calm and connection to the spaces they land.
